Watercraft/Trailer Dealers will need a valid Game License. Manufactured Home Dealers (HUD) will need a valid HUD License. Foreign Registrant License (Vehicle, Truck, Motorcycle, Trailer, and RV) dealers licensed in other states, but not in the Commonwealth, who sell motor vehicles at wholesale auctions.

⚠️ Notice: Motor Vehicle Transaction Recovery Fund⚠️

Per Virginia MVDB requirements, all initial dealer applications must include a $350 fee for the Recovery Fund. This is paid annually for the first three years of licensure.
For Dealers who NEVER paid into the MVTRF prior to 07/01/2015 and apply for a subsequent (additional) location show know that an one- time $100 fee will apply in addition to the $350.
Dealers who fully paid into the MVTRF for the 1st three consecutive years, completed the 50,000 bond requirement and opens a subsequent (additional) location will only be charged a one time fee of $100
